Hyde Parkers for Peace and Justice is an organization of veteran peace and justice activists on the south side of Chicago, formed four years ago to oppose the invasion of Iraq. HPPJ have subsequently broadened their agenda to take up a number of social justice issues.
Members have organized a number of forums, local demonstrations, visits to political officials, and voter registration and electoral campaigns to press our agenda. HPPJ participates as a group in citywide demonstrations and is affiliated with the citywide group CAWI (Chicagoans Against War and Injustice) and nationally with UFPJ (United for Peace and Justice).
