ABDUL MALIK MUJAHID is an imam and an award winning author and producer. He is the founder of Sound Vision Foundation and executive producer of daily Radio Islam show at WCEV 1450 AM. He serves as the Chairman of the Council of Islamic Organizations of Greater Chicago; Vice Chair of the Council for a Parliament of World Religion; and as a member Steering Committee of the Midwest Coalition for Human Rights. He also serves at the Faith Advisory Council of the Democratic National Committee. As the national coordinator of Bosnia Task Force, USA, in 1990s he successfully led efforts in collaboration of National Organization of Women (NOW) to declare rape as a war crime.
Imam Mujahid has written one book in sociology, Conversion to Islam:
Untouchables Strategy for Protest in India. This book was awarded as outstanding academic book of the year by American Library Association.
