1. Shield Your Skin from the Sun

Sun exposure is, without question, the number-one cause of prematurely aged skin. Whether you plan to be in the sun or not, always apply a sunscreen of at least SPF 30 before leaving the house. For convenience, consider investing in face moisturizer with built-in sunscreen. Wear wide-brimmed hats when out in the sun, and sit in the shade or under an umbrella if you must be in it at midday in particular.




2. Nourish Your Body

The outward appearance of the skin–which is the largest organ in the body–is directly impacted by the things you put in your body. Stay hydrated by drinking at least one liter of water per day. Steer clear of sugar and processed foods whenever possible. Even if you get plenty of nutrients in your diet, take a vitamin D supplement. 3. Stick with an AM/PM Routine

Take steps to care for your skin right after getting up and immediately before going to bed. Once you do this consistently, it will become a habit. Before bed, thoroughly wash your face to remove makeup, oil and other contaminants. Change your pillowcase regularly; a dirty one can clog pores and cause other issues.
